Dr. Mahmoudieh's extensive experience in radiation oncology, particularly in the treatment of Head and Neck and Breast cancer, showcases his dedication to providing specialized care to his patients. His proficiency in utilizing advanced techniques like Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) underscores his commitment to delivering precise and effective treatments for various types of cancers, including Head and Neck, Lung, and Gastrointestinal/Genitourinary cancers. As a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), Dr. Mahmoudieh remains actively engaged in the field of radiation oncology and stays updated on the latest advancements and practices in cancer treatment. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Mahmoudieh enjoys a variety of interests, including reading, playing racquetball, skiing, and camping with his children. His well-rounded pursuits reflect a balanced approach to life, combining his passion for medical care with personal interests and family time.
In his role as Executive Director, Michael oversees all aspects of the Merced Cancer Society Foundation, including strategic planning, financial oversight, staff management, program development and execution of the Foundation’s mission, vision, and goals. Michael also serves as the Director of Oncology and Diagnostic Imaging at El Portal Comprehensive Cancer Centers, where he oversees the provision of all cancer-related services in Merced and its neighboring communities. Before transitioning into management, Michael administered radiation therapy to cancer patients, during which he gained invaluable insights into the significance of delivering meaningful care. Michael has more than 17 years’ experience in healthcare, management, and nonprofits. In his leisure time, Michael enjoys learning new things, hiking in the Sierra mountains, and spending time with his family.
Paul I. Mosher is a highly accomplished business professional with extensive experience in healthcare management, medical device sales, and community service. Currently, he proudly serves as the Physician Liaison and Business Development Coordinator at El Portal Comprehensive Cancer Center. In this role, Paul collaborates closely with our dedicated medical team to facilitate patient-centered care, foster strong relationships with our physicians, and support the center’s mission of providing the highest quality cancer treatment. With expertise in business development, leadership, relationship management, and healthcare technology, Paul is a dedicated and effective communicator committed to exceptional service and compassionate support. His collaborative approach helps ensure that patients receive not only cutting-edge treatment but also personalized care rooted in trust and understanding. Additionally, Paul brings ten years of non-profit experience to our board of directors, furthering his devotion to community health and service. Paul holds a Bachelor of Business in Business Marketing from Boise State University. He is actively involved in his community, volunteering with various Merced non-profits and churches. Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending quality time with his family and playing golf whenever he can.

With a Ph.D. in medical physics and extensive training from Mansoura University, Egypt, and the University of Wisconsin Madison, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as the senior and chief of Medical Physics. Dr. Elhanafy's specialized training and expertise in various aspects of radiation oncology, including IMRT, HDR & LDR brachytherapy, SRS, TBI, Quality Assurance, and Radiobiology, demonstrate his commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. His research interests in IMRT, HDR brachytherapy, VMAT, and QA further showcase his dedication to advancing treatment techniques and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and machine quality. Moreover, Dr. Elhanafy's contribution to research, training courses, conferences, and workshops, as well as his accolades and awards, highlight his significant impact on the field of medical physics and radiation oncology. His continued focus on innovation and quality assurance underscores his commitment to improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of cancer treatment.

Carrie is highly regarded for her professionalism, integrity, and personalized service.
